Who I am? I was hoping I would not have to solve this age old question till I was much fatter and had grayer hair. But since I am my biggest fan, maybe this won't be so bad. I am a clocker/thoroughbred scout. I consider myself the Mel Kiper of the horse racing world, minus the great head of hair. I get up much earlier than most so I can get out to the race track and observe equine athletes preparing for their job. The big advantage I have over Mel is the athletes I scout are much more honest. Ha! OK, maybe that's not completely fair. I know we have all wagered on our fair share of chicken hearted horses. I've been making a living in this game for over five years now. I started innocently enough by annoying Toby Turrell with my presence, every morning, for six straight months. As the days passed, I found myself even more infatuated with the game. I've had the opportunity to work for a couple of racing publications, been a guest on various radio shows as well as HRTV, attended major thoroughbred sales, while also consulting on a few claims. My biggest weakness is my youth and inexperience. My biggest strength is my youth and inexperience. I love what I do. What will I blog about?? Anything and everything -- big workouts, poor workouts, thoughts on gambling, why I don't like myself and why I love myself. Let me ask YOU something. Why can’t the Lakers big men stay healthy??
